Welcome to QdbS.org
Home of QdbS - Quote database System
Quotes Database System (formerly Salty Quotes Database, named so because it was made for the development site saltine.net) is a small script written by
Kyle Florence a few years ago that will store IRC quotes, it's like your own personal
bash.org. QdbS could originally be found at
http://archive.kflorence.com/projects/qdbs/ and at the least, will be maintained here on QdbS.org including bug fixes and feature additions.
You will be able to find the latest version in the downloads section of this site.
Support is available via the forum, and on IRC (
irc.qdbs.org in
#qdbs or
Chat )
Suggestions and feature requests can also be posted on the forum in the apropriate board.

QdbS Version 2
I'm sorry to announce but for the time being until I get myself sorted out QdbS 2 development will have to be delayed for now. I know many of you were looking forward to it's release but I just havn't been able to find the time or self motivation to continue with it at the moment. Development will resume again soon, it's just a matter of when.

QdbS TCL
I would just like to announce the addition (to the SVN repository only) of a TCL script for eggdrops that provides an IRC, read only interface to QdbS installations.
Currently for it to work with version 1.* of QdbS you will additionally need an XML addon (also added to SVN)
To download the TCL script you should use the following command:
svn co https://qdbs.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/qdbs/trunk/tcl/ qdbs_tcl
To download the XML addon for QdbS 1.* you should use the following command:
svn co https://qdbs.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/qdbs/trunk/xml_for_1.x/ xml_addon
Please make sure to read the readme.txt for the XML addon before using the XML addon, and also read the instructions in qdbs.tcl carefully before using the TCL script.
Both these scripts will be made available as downloads in the downloads section if they prove to be stable and reliable.

QdbS Version 2
QdbS Version 2 development is now under way with most of the code re-written, re-formatted and tweaked or yet to be written. The current status of QdbS version 2 is incomplete but a fair way through.
What this means is QdbS 2 isn't all that far away. It will include a whole host of new features and will include and upgrade script for those of you already using QdbS 1.*
Further details to come including new features being added.
